Rape Seeds

The rapeseed (latin name: Brassica napus) is a member of the family Brassicaceae. The rapeseed is not care demanding, has good resistance to frost, heat and drought, but greatly depletes the soil. The rapeseed is the third largest source of vegetable oil and the second source for the protein products production. The oil obtained from the rapeseed, is used in the food industry as well as for production of the fossil fuels. The press cake remaining after the oil production, and the rapeseed meal are the basis for production of the animal feed. Furthermore, the rapeseed is used as a forage crop. The volumes of the rapeseed production in the world are constantly increasing. Besides, the farmers prefer to grow the rapeseed rather than the food crops.
